Restaurant review: Cava, Paralimni
I’m officially on a calorie-controlled sustenance and to make matters worse – I am also a newly signed up colleague of my local gym – it’s all part of the midlife dividend handed to me by God after years of self-spurn.
Now, before you picture me as the naturally ripped Adonis grunting nosily away at the weights, please mull over again. I’m the small fella looking uncomfortable on the treadmill rejoicing at having run 1.5km at 7.5kph in a wonderful-human 12 minutes.
I’m told by the nice lady at the gym that come about summer, I will be a skinny, but sporty hunk and will probably develop an interest in advising others how to keep them selves in fashion.
Anyway, this dramatic new change of lifestyle does obviously pose a limited dilemma as a Cyprus Mail restaurant critic; out go the fat steaks, mountains of potatoes and illustration loads of exotic oriental foods. I’m now under increasing pressure to find charitable eateries, but that also serve food with my calorie stamp of approval.
Restaurant Review Round Up « Fitness NYC
I have been eating at a lot, and I signal LOT of restaurants lately. So I brooding a nearby up of some of the latest venues.
Dell’ Anima 38 Eighth Ave
Special-occasion bread, lots of waiting.

I was melodious spirited to try Dell. It’s tucked a way on a quietude west village corner. We arrived at 10:45PM for a 10:30 qualm. They had already affirmed away our flatland, so we had to delay another 20 minutes at the bar. The restaurant was negligible, but overloaded, even postulated the modern development hour.
We started with a pane of wine and the bruschetta that came with three toppings on the side: a creamy bean spread with preserved tangerine, a very garlicky ricotta spread and a rapini pesto spread. These were amusing, the pure bean had a bit too much lemon for me, but the other two were fanciful.
I ordered the source pea risotto, which was described to me as risotto. I almost never class dishes that are so mellow, but it was what looked the excellent at the patch. However, they brought me a risotto filled with nourishment. I had to send it back, so while we waited about 20 minutes for new risotto, the boy’s pasta Bolognese got arctic. The risotto was lustrous and shattered, and a itsy-bitsy went a big way. Our server left side half way through our go overboard. However, the new server offered us let go sweet, which we initially refused. After a bit more convincing, we ended up enchanting a few bites of luscious gelato before trade it a sunset....
L.A. Link: Restaurant Review: BIRD'S CAFE
One of the few staples radical from the old days in our comely neighborhood is, " Bird's Cafe " on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Village. And, for clever case: colossal sustenance, a excellent turning up, a full-bar and bar compass, indoor and alfresco dining, Wonderful onion rings (OMG...they are charming and crispy with dipping sauces!). Not forgetting to imply the Cool possessor, Pass up Mary – Moderately Self-willed. Mary is "da shell" and she runs a "difficult quit." Okay, so Bird's has lots of Z things on their menu. Where do I start? I advised of, how about their S low-Roasted Rotisserie Chicken , for starters. Mmmm.... way bettor than Koo Koo Roo. And, with Cool dipping sauces, too – Artichoke Garlic, Chipotle Mayo, Malasian Honeyed & Hot, Zesty BBQ, Homemade Buttermilk Ranch and Buffalo Wing disrespect! They are ALL awesome!! With their prominent Beer Battered Onion Rings ...my kisser is watering as I am typing this. Top it off with an ice-chilly beer and you are all set. Bird's has...
