Is it possible to learn how to cook by watching the Cooking channel?

I do not know how to cook, no one has ever taught. I usually do not watch the cooking channel, because it kills me and eat, but could tell me how to cook if I keep watching all the shows?

Former Cooking Channel exec to run Electus' YouTube venture
Bruce, former chief VP of programming for Cooking Channel, has been named CEO of Electus’ new food-centric YouTube channel.
Seidel took up his r on January 23 and is responsible for running the channel, including all creative, programming, scheduling, direction and marketing of the as-yet-unnamed outlet. He will report to Electus COO and head of digital Drew Buckley.
Seidel brings with him more than 15 years judgement of creating and scheduling programming for television networks such as Food Network, Cooking Channel and Animal Planet, and will be applying his sustenance content skills to the Web.
Slated to officially launch in July, the YouTube channel is being created in partnership with Resourceful Artists Agency. The food-centric channel will combine Seidel’s judgement on food programming with the online and mobile audience and bandwidth of unstationary app and website Urbanspoon.

LOS ANGELES -- The Scripps Network, grower of the hugely fortunate Comestibles Network, will initiate a totally new 24/7 telegraph rations channel called the Cooking Channel on May 31.
At the Line Show in Los Angeles this week, Daisy caught with Scripps Networks president John Lansing for an update on the new network.
