Norwegian food?

I would like something to seduce my boyfriend to eat because I am concerned, it may be homesick. He is from Norway, and I want to draw him something sweet or salty to cheer him up a bit. He does not like fish, or very milky things either.
I know you may want to be a surprise for him, but like the poster before me, asking perhaps routed. You can even ask him if he wants a night away from him that day and you can cook together. It can indoctrinate about Norwegian food, too.

Food for Thought: Lutefisk dinner planned Feb. 4
If you're in the spirit for Scandinavian cuisine, plan to attend the annual Sons of Norway lutefisk dinner on Feb. 4.
They will be serving actual Scandinavian fare from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Kennewick First Lutheran Church. The luncheon, served buffet-style, includes lutefisk, Norwegian meatballs and gravy, potatoes, lefse, salad and an grouping of Scandinavian cookies.
Cost is $20 for adults and $8 for children 5 to 12 years old. Children 4 and younger are unshackled. Tickets will be sold at the door.
The Scandinavian meal will be served at the Kennewick First Lutheran Church at Highway 395 and Yelm Thoroughfare.
Members of the sons of Norway will be making lefse-- a flat potato bread -- start at 9 a.m. Jan. 24 and 31 at the church. On Feb. 1, after 9:30 a.m., they will be making rosettes and fattigman -- cookies -- at the church.
