Hummingbird Food?

I barely put a hummingbird feeder, but if I run the nect I bought, should or could I use something they love? I know they like red, so maybe Kool Aid because it is the sugar? Or is it bad for them?
I had been using an assortment of nectar for several years, but now when I install the charger, I do not sugar / reduce mixing. I never had any hummingbird action like this before, I am sorry I never tried that before.
