Diabetes food?

My conditional (female, 50 years) is a diabetic and she wants to know what kind of food she should eat? with his diabetes is an adult and not since childhood.

It would be great if you could give me lists of foods, which is not to eat and what is recommended.

The best part of the price recommendations are for between 40-55% of calories from carbohydrates.For me, this is almost identical to a doctor to recommend someone who has arthritic knees shamefully, the staff for a marathon.
