Why does food in Chile has excessive Sugar and Salt?

I noticed that the weather u buy biscuits, cookies, cakes, cereals, fruit juice or soda are all much sweeter or saltier compared to other countries I've been. Try Potato Chips Lay's are uncommonly salt. I do not understand why it is so.

Chile did not "upper class" in this regard.
Lots of 'cheap' food around the world have excessive sugar, marinate and fats (fat)!
Why? Because the taste and mouthfeel are satisfying to the human mouth and stomach, that's why.

Home-food business bills find favor in first hearings

Committees in the Colorado Blood and Senate on Thursday simultaneously heard two bills introduced by neighbourhood lawmakers designed to help Coloradans create their own home-food businesses.

While the Shelter Economic & Business Development Committee approved a measure offered by Rep. Laura Bradford, R-Collbran, the Senate Agriculture, Ingenuous Resources & Energy Committee supported another one introduced by Sen. Gail Schwartz, D-Snowmass Village, and Rep. Don Coram, R-Montrose.

Both measures center on allowing would-be entrepreneurs to use their own retirement community kitchens to produce products meant for local sale.

Dozens of people testified in favor of both measures, many saying they have been liberal jobless because of the recession and are just looking for ways to become self-employed.

“If I was adept to do this, I wouldn’t have to rely on the state. That’s one less person that they have to pay for,” Mandy Gabelson, who operates Ava Melodious Cakes from her Mesa County home, told the House cabinet while testifying for Bradford’s bill. “We want to be entrepreneurs, but there has to be a way for us to trace out through that door.
