Paula Deen served up plate of criticism

(CBS Dirt)

Doctors and chefs alike are serving up a full plate of disapproval for celebrity chef Paula Deen.

It started a few days ago after the Food Network diva, known for her rich, fatty recipes, revealed she has Type-2 diabetes.

Deen waited three years to reveal she has the condition, and is now a paid spokeswoman for the makers of a diabetes sedate called Victoza. Many are now wondering why she waited so long as she continued to forward fatty, fried and butter-laden foods on her Food Network show and cookbooks, coming out about her diagnosis after locking down the counter-signature.

She remains unapologetic for her food, and says she will still enjoy it in moderation.

For more on the controversy, "CBS This Morning" turned to Chef Jose Andres, this year's James Beard Underlying's outstanding chef in America.

FOOD NETWORK: IT AINT EASY BEING GREEN | Little Homestead in the City

A tabloid of novel day pioneers forging a new boundary in the urban district through thorough-going agriculture and far-off sustainability in urban homesteading.

Hubby and I so enjoyed the show! The chefs were legitimate a hoot! The look on their faces when Jules told them they were cooking off the grid was rabid! Not to naming the chef holding up your trombicino (sp?) squash in Sum total disbelief. The meals looked scrumptious, the gardens were great. As wonderful as the chefs did, I still would have rather watched a one hour show or DVD with Jules and Justin “working the garden” and Anais and Jordanne “in the pantry”.

Anyway, exotic unveiling, very pleasing, edifying in promoting an Primary Perfection and upstanding so inspiring! I started “as an probe”, one of the cucumber seeds from your place in a pot on my NE enclosed Sunporch (with southern disclosing) about 5 weeks ago. The works in a pot was like 8 feet unbelievable last week. I’m dispiriting to topiary it as an research for the go to ruin/winter “growing OG 365″ aka Will Allen at growingpower.org. Fuhget about it .. my familiarity OG gardener mentor made me lop off the top 12 inches last week influential me “you are not growing to get on a travels ladder to fruit cucumbers… this cucumber situate is growing like infatuated!” I also planted a bush bean children from you at the vile and it sprouted within the week with no inoculants. Don’t limp .. run to freedomseeds.org and get your seeds. It isn’t too belated! I’m having so much fun with your seeds, have shared them with suitor OG gardeners and can’t stand by to see what happens on the East Beach with such abundant growing conditions!
