I have misc. containers and lids and the opportunity to get them under control. I have containers that meet on a grid (I bought that way), but then I needed additional sizes and bought Glade and other containers.

If you have several containers of the same magnitude, keep them together, drank it easier to find ... remove lids and stack them.

Palo Alto, Sunnyvale and San Jose all have one. Now the urban district of Mountain View is eyeing a possible plastic bag ban.

The city council will regard a recommendation Tuesday from its Environmental Sustainability Committee to begin drafting a line plan to craft a single-use, carry-out plastic bag ordinance.

The plan would also front development of a ban on expanded polystyrene take-out food containers.

Like other Santa Clara County cities, Mountain Believe began exploring ways to reduce plastic bag use in 2009. That same year, the big apple council adopted an Environmental Sustainability Action Plan to be of assistance as a roadmap for meeting short- and long-term sustainability goals.

Two of those goals included enacting plastic bag and polystyrene ordinances.

A newly adopted borough regional stormwater permit is helping drive the move to outlaw the stylish receptacles in Mountain View. Under the permit, the city must come up with a game to reduce the amount of trash reaching local waterways by 100 percent by 2022.
