"Getting master master chefs and khansamas from the regions being showcased was a Herculean major effort. Our aim was to bring authentic food from across India to the city and to enhance the dining episode with live music and decor from these regions," says executive chef Grover, who has orchestrated the food gala day with chef Mujeebur Rehman a specialist in royal cuisine.

The first four days were a dealings with for lovers of Awadh, Rampur, Peshawar and Kashmir cuisine. Chef Mujeebur Rehman had progress up with some literally gob-smacking delicacies. From melt-in-your-mouth seekh kebabs made of lamb grub, to kukur lebabdar tikka (chicken tikka) followed by an array of starters featuring potato and paneer - all of them washed down with a badam-saffron flavored Kashmiri schooner.

A bread basket featuring Peshawar and Kashmiri fare like the gilaf kulcha, kishmish naan (flavored with raisins) and sheermal baked in a odd iron tandoor was a treat for food connoisseurs. The famous tabab maas - bust of lamb cooked in milk, cinnamon and cardamom and fried in ghee - is a foodie's satisfaction. Amongst the main course fare, apart from the biryani, the gushtaba - lamb dumplings in gravy - stands out for its choice taste. The dessert section too has many surprises in store. Apart from the consummate shahi tukdas to phirnis and sevaiyyas, the ghosht ka halwa is something to die for. Chef Mujeebur Rehman, who whipped up the dish, says, "It is 90 percent substance. In fact, it's lamb meat, unlike the goat meat that's substantially used in the Deccan region.

Woman attacked by homeless sues Jewel - Chicago Bar-tender

A girlfriend who says she was attacked by a unsettled man and concubine while leaving a Jewel Food Preserve is suing the store and the suspected vagabond individuals.

Jennifer Convention hall says that while she and her fiance were leaving the Jewel assemble at 1224 S. Wabash, she was approached by defendants Derrick Sovereign and Joyce Burgess who requested a cigarette and when Assembly denied them, she was physically attacked. 

The grumble states that "vagrants persons and others were known to loiter face the [department store], commonly congregating on the go bankrupt along the footway."  The gripe further states that Jewel was negligent when it, among other things, "improperly permitted vagrants persons and others to loiter on said premises when they knew or should have known that such persons had a physical propensity," and "that such persons posed a gamble to persons lawfully on said premises."
