Iron's Side Boot The equation is unclouded: To augment iron, one needs to eat more iron-rich foods. To spread iron absorption, twin these powerhouse foods with those high-class in vitamin C. Doubtless nutrients bar the absorption of iron. Calcium supplements and dairy foods; tannins found in tea, coffee, and chocolate; oxalates found in nuts, beet greens, and spinach; and phytates found in bran, whole grains and legumes, all put optimal iron absorption. However, there are ways of justifying the start to work through sprouting, fermenting, and pairing foods with sources of vitamin C to arrogate developing the absorption of iron. Not unswerving how to yoke the two sources? Give out a nut butter sandwich layered with slices of mango to lessening the form of oxalates in nuts. Prefer sprouted wheat bread for sandwiches, and marinate some tempeh with bell peppers for Friday sundown's potluck.
