How are genetically modified foods bad for health?

I keep hearing it is bad for form from a bunch of misinformed people with no knowledge who just say unpremeditated junk. Scientists say there is no difference better GM and normal foods for vigorousness? So how is it bad?

Japan has began importing Hawaiian produced, genetically modified papaya, in defiance of strict regulations relating to genetically modified food in the country. All foods that are GM produced must pertain to a label pointing this out to the consumer - unlike in the US.

A group called Proper Label It are pressing for the US to do similar and announce the presence of GM foods on the shelves there also.

The USDA scientist who helped come out the Rainbow papaya, Dennis Gonsalves, says that it is the best tasting papaya there is.

Soup, however, was not the goal when the variety was developed.

At the time a virus was sweeping the Hawaiian papaya perseverance and threatening to wipe it out altogether. Gonsalves and his colleagues developed a way to get the plants to propagate a minute amount of the virus in their cells, thus triggering the immune system.
