Has anyone used an electric food steamer to sterilise baby bottles?

I noticed that a mobile cooker is much cheaper than an electric bottle sterilizer. As far as I can predict that they both seem more or less do the same thing. Has anyone tried and had any success?
I have not tried it, but yes, I think you're right. Otherwise, you can simply knock in a pan, fill with water, and cook. Thats what my mother did when she watched my children.
