I am very poor and given food stamps. However one of my roommates has a decent job. Would his income should be considered my request for food stamps? There is no anent whatsoever.

If you flag a waiver stating that you and your roommate purchase food separately and you fortify foods separately, they will not take the roommate's income into account.

A decade ago, Tammy Jaime mislaid everything to drugs. She and her husband spent through their savings, lost their home and car, and ended up in the agricultural northern California mountains, begging for food for their children.


Jaime won her brawl against drugs, but finds she’s still struggling to feed her kids. These days, Jaime, 39, is sedate, enrolled in college, and working part-time for Cisco Headstart, where she earns $12 an hour. It’s the most legal tender she has ever made, well above minimum wage. But routinely, as the month draws to a close, she and her quash run out of funds, in part because of family medical bills.


“We live from paycheck to paycheck,” said Jaime. “We don’t eat out very much. We don’t have TV. Next week is payday. But then, you recognize what, my check is gone the next day because it’s all lined up for bills.” 


She’s part of a growing demographic. More than four years into the worst pecuniary, housing and unemployment crisis to hit the country since the Great Depression, America’s starvation numbers continue to climb.

More Oregonians than ever are receiving food stamps By Michelle Cole, The Oregonian May 15, 2010, 6:16PM SALEM -- More than 700,000 Oregonians received food stamps last month, which means almost one in five people in the glory are relying on administration succour to buy their meals.
