The annual Art of Food offer at The Carnegie Galleries in Covington will be on view this year from  Walk 2- April 13.  It’s always fun to go to art  openings;  for this show  it’s particularly important:  because that’s when there’s food you can actually eat.

The opening  is Cortege 2, 6-9 p.m. Advance tickets are $50 for non-members; $35 Carnegie members. At the door, they’re $60 and $45, but in recent years they’ve sold out.  It features lots of food from some valid local chefs and restaurants: Bonbonerie, Bouquet, Cafe Europa, Coffee Emporium, Eatwell Celebrations, Different TAble, Fireside Pizza, Jean Robert’s Food, Jeff Thomas Catering, La Poste, Otto’s, Movie queen City Cookies Senate, Smoq, Taste of Belgium, The Avenue Saloon bar, View Restaurant, Virgil’s Care and Washington Programme.

After that, the exhibition is free; you’ll see works of art by Eric Brass, Leah Busch, Marisa Dipaola, Sayaka Ganz, Sandra Take, Jeffrey Hayes, Matt Kotlarcyzk, Pam Kravetz, Jim Merz, Carla Morales, Sara Pearce, Kim Shifflett and Jacquelyn Sommer.
