Is the Canada Food Guide a Good Source for Weight Loss?

I heard that the Food Guide is not the greatest parent to try to have a balanced diet and lose weight. I was challenging to find a good guide for how I should eat one day. Any ideas / opinions?
the old Food Guide is not very competent, but they worked with the Stroke Foundation and upgrade to include all your nutritional needs.
