I am in Michigan and placed my first association, but someone said the food is terrible so now I'm afraid I lost my money.

Wendy Wight, conductor of the nonprofit We Can Make A Difference in Jackson, is hoping to help get food to almost 300 Jackson County families who were part of Angel Food Ministries.

That national ministry, Wight said, folded in September. A figure of Jackson-area churches bought food through that organization and it was delivered to the churches and distributed to dead families for more than a decade.

Now Wight is planning a brainstorming meeting for anyone interested in creating a neighbourhood ministry to take the place of Angel Food Ministries. It will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at 224 W. Wilkins St., the position of her nonprofit.

Wight wants to supply people with more nutritious foods than the Angel Ministries did. They would be gifted to purchase it with their food stamps.

“I know there are people in the Jackson community who have a guts for such a ministry,” said Wight. “I need to back up a board of directors, someone to head it up, basically figure out how to get the dots connected.

Angel Food Ministries May menu

I will be working in a summer lodge teaching cooking, and forget in 5 days. I am worrying to put together a rules of recipes to aid out while I am over there. I have gone through the books that I have and copied the pages, but I can’t seem to find any on the internet. I am looking for pages that have the ingredients, method and a depict of the spin-off on the leaf so I am gifted to show the children what they are aiming to earn.
